Today People Continue Age old Customs Honoring National Heroes What is the Simple Predicate

Good day to all and everyone. Today I meant to write about our ancestors, stemming from Saturdays post where I touched on the subject. On Saturday, my spirit was annoyed and I felt like ranting a little so I did and I know the post went all over the place even though I managed to make it make sense, however I needed to focus on the point at hand, but what the hell, this is a blog, and as you can see I speak whatever I feel and I know that you all can appreciate that, at least I hope you can.

I found this article on the Internet. I have have not read it all, but I glance through and thought it worthy to share. I hope I am not wrong, I will read it when I have the time and we will go through it, however if you have any questions or disagreements let us talk them through!

How Ancestors Affect Us

Life is what we make of it, so it is said. It is very much so with ancestors as well. Your ancestors can be a source of inspiration, help and protection or a source of trouble, chaos and obstruction in your life — it's all up to you! Most people have no idea how powerful the hidden influence of their ancestors is on the life they are living. Many of the problems you are having today might be caused by your ancestors or by you not handling them properly.

Many persistent and "unsolvable" problems in your life — though not necessarily caused by your ancestors — could easily be overcome with your ancestors' help — if only you knew how to contact them and harness their power.

It has been said that not feeding one's ancestors is the root cause of poverty! Could it be that we are having global poverty because — among other things — we have lost the sacred traditions of communing with and feeding our ancestors?

Have we perhaps been intentionally cut off from our spiritual benefactors, the protectors of our clans?

I fear this is so, not just by coincidence but by design. Otherwise, if ancestors are so important to us, as many ancient traditions from cultures all over the world are telling us, why have we never been told about this? In my opinion this is part of the ongoing intentional discrediting of sacred knowledge with the goal of disempowering humanity through false religions, fear mongering, ridicule and obscuring of all true spiritual knowledge which could lead to empowerment and self-governance.

Ask yourself honestly, how do you feel when you read my words? How do you feel about my suggestion to work with the dead, with spirits? Are you afraid? Do you think it is evil? Does it freak you out because it brings to mind certain trashy Hollywood movies which totally distort the truth about the spiritual realm? Most people are so conditioned by religion and by the brainwash media that anything to do with spirits either is taboo or really scares them. Both death and spirits have been declared "the enemy" by the media and the medical egregore. People whose organs have long given up are artificially kept alive instead of allowing them the mercy of death by switching the machines off. Countless horror movies show evil spirits going after people, even killing them. As a result people have a very distorted view and unreasonable fears of anything to do with death, spirits and the realm of the dead.

The fear mongering by the media and prosecution by the Church has led to people forgetting all the traditional ancestral passing-over rites of their cultures which in turn has created a huge problem in the astral realm. More and more souls are becoming earthbound, due to this gross negligence and ignorance about death, the dead, and the truth about our ancestors. I feel that it is time now for all of us who love freedom and life to reconnect with the power of our ancestors so they can protect us in these difficult and troublesome times, and so that they can get healed, and through healing them we also heal ourselves, our families and ultimately our society. For this reason I am now also conducting workshops to teach people how to establish a good relationship with their ancestors and turn them into their friends, helpers and allies. The workshop is titled Wisdom of the Ancestors and you can find the course dates and information on the Workshops page. Alternatively you can learn with me one on one by online tuition via UNSEEN voice chat at your own pace and convenience, irrespective of where you live.

Destruction of Western Ancestral Traditions

The European peoples also had their own ancestral traditions, but those were ended with sword and bloodshed and fiery death by the Church of Yahweh, in the so-called witch hunts, which killed off all those who were in higher consciousness, had psychic or healing abilities or who  were devoted to the Gods of their fathers and their own people.

For those who are interested to learn more, it maybe fruitful to research the war the Church waged against the Cathars, who were peaceful, pious vegetarian people, said to have found the secret of the Grail, and who were mercilessly wiped out and burned alive, including women and small children by the agents of evil in sheep's clothing. Suffice to say, nowhere has there been a bloodier war of extermination, than the witch hunt in Europe with the epicenter of the evil in Central Europe. A war of extermination, which resulted in the brutal murder of tens of millions of Europeans, and yet we hardly ever hear about it, or the facts get severely downplayed and grossly distorted.

After the monotheistic religions had conquered Europe with violence and bloodshed and burned all ancient scriptures of the local people, some of them in ancient runic scripts, they had free reign in brainwashing and re-educating the intimidated populace. Anything to do with spirits, ancestral or not, was said to be of the devil, and dealing with the devil of course brought down the wrath of Yahweh and promise of torture and death on the pyre.

No wonder that Europeans refrained from contacting their ancestors or dealing with them in any way at all. And so we lost most of our European ancestral tradition, together with so many other valuable things, our lore of sacred herbs and true spiritual heritage, our European shamanic tradition and so much more than we could ever imagine. But now it is time to take it all back. The ancestors are calling out to us to return to them, to reforge our bond with them. We live in dark and dangerous times and the ancestors are getting restless as they can clearly perceive the danger coming towards us, threatening to destroy their descendants and spiritual traditions forever if we don't act soon. Can you hear your ancestors' call?

Who Counts as an Ancestor?

You may think of ancestors as only those members of your family that you knew and who have passed on, but this is not so. Anybody of your family line going back countless generations, is an ancestor and a potential ally. You also need to know that an ancestor has the task of helping you. It is in fact the duty of your ancestors to help and protect you. So why are they not doing their job? We will get to that later.

When I was younger the concept of the ancestors baffled me. I have always believed in reincarnation (and in fact I remember some of my past lives) so I couldn't at first understand why ancestors would stay behind to help their descendants. Why were they not reincarnating in new bodies, I wondered. But as we get more advanced spiritually we begin to understand and embrace the paradox. The greatest truths are always hard to grasp and often paradoxical. And so I learned that while the individual soul reincarnates a small part of it stays on to protect the descendants of its line thus becoming an ancestor. Consciousness has the ability to split itself and be in several different places, dimensions or time lines at the same time. One example of this phenomenon is bilocation, another is astral projection. Advanced Yogis too can be in different places at the same time and have been seen helping people in locations hundreds of miles apart virtually at the same time. Consciousness is one, yet many at the same time. Here's the paradox again!

Basically, a part of all your forebears has remained behind to give assistance to their descendents, that is to you and your children! They still exist in soul form, ready to shower their blessings upon you, if only you let them into your life and make an effort to honour them. We have an unbreakable bond with our physical ancestors, the ancestors of flesh and blood, who have passed their DNA on to us. With them we have a special relationship, that is always accessible, even if we are not aware of it. This relationship can be strengthened or weakened depending on our actions and attitudes.

It becomes weakened when we ignore our ancestors, if we believe they are dead and gone, or if we even deny them and our own heritage. When individuals or peoples lose their ancestral language, give up their spiritual traditions, their sacred dances, betray their ancestral gods or spurn them, then their connection to their ancestry, to their gods and divinity gets attenuated to the point where it is almost non-existent. As the connection works through the DNA it also gets attenuated when the ancestral blood becomes so diluted by mixing with other lineages that little of the original ancestral bloodline remains. Think of your ancestral lineage as a frequency. There is a frequency of the Chinese people, a frequency of the Japanese, of the Indian people, Africans, Europeans etc. Your DNA is like a receiver. The ancestors broadcast on their specific frequency. You cannot listen to several channels simultaneously and if you could you wouldn't understand a word and be simply bewildered. Also, your receiver is built to only receive a particular frequency range. So if that deviates too far from your ancestral frequency, then you are incapable of reconnecting with them. You are lost, like a ship at sea with neither anchor nor compass.

That is why it is so important to keep our ancestral connection alive and strong. Because through our ancestors we can connect to the highest spiritual knowledge and higher consciousness. We can even rediscover much of our spiritual heritage that was lost in the Burning Times, through connecting with our ancestors. We can reconnect to the glory of our ancestral heritage at the time of the last Golden Age. The ancestors are here to help and guide us, to move obstacles out of our way, to protect us and watch over us, to teach us the ancient ways, once again! They love us and care for us! Only an utter fool would spurn the wisdom of the ancestors, but fools there are many on this earth, in this Age of Evil, the Kali Yuga described in the Vedas!

Strengthening the Bond

Besides avoiding anything that weakens the ancestral bond, there are things we can actively do to strengthen our connection to our ancestors and to our ancestral group soul. The ancestral group soul is the oversoul of all people of a particular heritage. The ancestral oversoul is a spirit that is very real. You can even visit it by shamanic journeying or meet it in meditation, if you are skillful and lucky enough. For example, there exists a racial oversoul of all African people, of all Native Americans, all Europeans etc. That is the clan of your ancestors. Within the clan there are subgroups, each of which also have their own group spirit. For example, the African clan has a tribal soul of the Massai people, the Kikuyu, the bushmen etc. The Native American tribes such as the Apache or Cheyenne have their own group souls, and with them their ancestral heritage and tradition. And generally these tribes had their own language, which is a frequency again. Everything is energy and frequency. We are part of a beautiful symphony of life, each one singing their own individual beautiful tone in this great orchestra!

Language
So, one the first things to do to reconnect to your ancestors and your heritage is to learn the language of your ancestors, if you are not speaking it already, that is. There is a reason why the conquerors who subjugated the proud Native Americans forced them to give up their own language and learn English, a language alien to them. Language expresses the group soul, the way of thinking, the traditions and values of a people. Taking that away from them, is a crime and destroys the soul of a people. So make an effort to relearn the language of your ancestors. It will please them and open up new areas of your brain, allowing you a wider range of frequency so you can receive messages from your ancestors more easily.

Sometimes people asked me "What can I do, because I am of mixed heritage? What is my ancestral language then and which ancestors best to connect to? First of all, the ancestors you knew personally, no matter what their heritage, are always connected to you by bonds of love. As to which ancestral heritage is your true one, you can go by the one that has the highest share in the mix. For instance If you are three quarters Native American, one quarter European, try connect to your Native American ancestry. If you have a tie, like a 50/50 go by what you feel you truly are. Sometimes you have a strong feeling of belonging to a side of your heritage that may have less than half. For instance if you have more European than African blood but identify more with the African part of you, then try to connect to your African ancestry. Go by your heart if in doubt!

Sacred Dance
Never underestimate the power of the sacred dances! Dance is a way of communicating with All-that-Is. It is a form of communication with Mother Earth and also our ancestors. Native Americans have their tribal dances, Africans have theirs and we Europeans had ours also. We just got to dig deep to find them again. Bees communicate with each other by dancing patterns on the ground. That way they can tell other bees where nectar is to be found! Our reality is based on sacred geometry and sacred sound. When you chant a particular sound over a tightened membrane covered with sand, the particles will arrange themselves in beautiful geometrical patterns. Likewise the patterns of our dances express our frequency of light that we radiate in this universe of myriads of forms. Each one is unique and each one is beautiful. Let us preserve and celebrate the beauty of our diverse heritages in our sacred dances and songs!

Songs of the Ancestors
If at all possible, try to find some old songs, as old as possible, of your ancestral lineage and learn them by heart and sing them. Pass these songs on to your children as well, so they are connected to their ancestors right from the start. Pop culture songs don't count! As a European you may want to also listen to classical music, such as Bethoven, Bach or Wagner, as an African maybe to traditional African drums and instruments, etc. Music changes something within us, puts us in touch with the sacred, if it is true music, not discordant electronic pop trash. Music is a force much greater than most would believe. Sound is energy. Energy has frequency. Through frequency and vibration sound affects reality. In India mantras are used to cure snake bite or scorpion sting, just by chanting a word, a sound. So the words and sound in the songs of your ancestors are a direct expression of their ancestral soul. Learning them enables you to tune in to their frequency and to unlock the true potential slumbering in you.

Poetry
Reading old poetry of the greatest of your clan ancestors can also tune you in with your ancestral group soul and open your mind to a greater understanding of the values and virtues of your ancestors. It is food for the soul, yours and the group soul. Find one or two poems you like, written by great men of your people, and learn them by heart to anchor them into your being. Through the words of those poets shines the nobility of their souls, their lofty spirits, their brilliant minds. Reading their works you begin to resonate at the same frequency, you become greater! Endeavour to become like them, not necessarily a poet, but a man or woman of virtue and nobility of spirit.

Make them Proud!

And finally, work very hard to embody the values and virtues of your ancestors. Were your ancestors a proud people, a race of warriors? Are you living the warrior spirit or being a cowardly liar? Is it time to stand and up and live life fully, as a proud descendent of proud people or would you wear the slave yoke to your grave? Are you living in truth or living a lie? Did your ancestors value chastity and you are partying and sleeping around? Try to see yourself and your life through their eyes. What would your grandfather say if he saw you now? What do you think your ancestors five or six generations back would say to your lifestyle and the way you conduct yourself?

One day you will stand before them. And wouldn't it be better if they looked at you with fond pride rather than turn their heads in shame? Or even worse, if you have to hang your head in shame when you realise what you have done, or not done. Therefore, try to be the greatest you can be, to make your ancestors proud, and to give a good example to your children or the children of others of your clan and tribe. Do something for your people, something good, that lasts beyond your own physical life. That will make your ancestors proud and fill your heart with joy and pride in yourself. By embodying the virtues of your ancestors you will become great and uplift your soul, and theirs!

Spiritual Ancestry

Those that work within a true spiritual tradition may also have spiritual ancestors. Let us first define what is a true spiritual tradition. In a true spiritual tradition there has to be an unbroken lineage of self-realised teacher to disciple who reaches self-realisation and passes the knowledge on to his own disciple in turn. In the Vedic tradition the unbroken spiritual succession is called Guru Param Para. The spiritual knowledge has to be passed on without break or interruption, a bit like the Olympic torch. If it goes out and gets rekindled, it is no longer the same, no longer valid.

Should you have the great good fortune of being initiated into a true spiritual tradition then you will also have the protection of all the gurus that went before you in the lineage. The word guru really means disspeller of darkness, and the darkness is our ignorance. A true Guru brings you enlightenment, lights up the light of wisdom, your spiritual fire and is not to be confused with New Age frauds bearing that term. Of course with the benefits of help and protection from your spiritual ancestry also comes responsibility, just as you have a responsibility to your physical ancestry. You have to be a true member of that spiritual tradition and not go against its rules such as eating meat when the traditions demands a vegetarian diet. Provided you please the spiritual preceptors they will shower their blessings on to you and protect you from spiritual and even physical harm.

You are free to choose your spiritual tradition but wisdom dictates not to choose a religion or tradition that has done harm to your ancestors. If you for instance join a religious group whose followers in the ancient times slaughtered your ancestors of blood, tribe or clan, you would be betraying them with that act. It is akin to going out for dinner with the murderers of your parents. Some spiritual or religious traditions are in direct opposition to the heritage of our ancestors, to their values and way of life. Your ancestors, feeling dishonoured and betrayed may then very well place obstacles in your path. These may in time make you wake up and see the truth for yourself, a blessing in disguise!

Spiritual ancestry through a valid spiritual tradition, one that leads to enlightenment and freedom, can work very well and in harmony with your ancestors if you pick your tradition wisely. You will then get double protection and double blessings! You may also recover spiritual knowledge and powers from past lives by being initiated in such a spiritual tradition. Before you make such a step don't forget to ask your ancestors for their advice and approval! It should never be fear that drives you but love and respect! Though the majority of our ancestors were good people, there were the occasional black sheep among them. And some of them had serious issues! Read this
